drunk over 2 days.Perhaps I was expecting too much from a village wine in a modest vintage.Whist the colour and depth were there ,there was little fruit to remark on.

Dark fruit, floral notes, crushed stones, spices, quite smoky on the nose. On the palate lovely fruit, good tannic grip, spicy, lifted, mineral. Very good length. 91-92+

Couleur rubis sombre. Nez de fleurs et de fruits pluôt réservés. le premier nez était réduit et s'est ouvert progressivement. Bouche fluide sur les fruits avec une certaine fermeté de tannins. On goûte le millésime difficile avec un petit manque de maturité phénolique.

MASTER BORGOGNA AIS; 10/15/2013-6/28/2014 (HOTEL WESTIN PALACE MILANO): 20% legno nuovo. 100% diraspato. Rubino carico e intenso. Naso corposo, fieno e frutti rossi maturi e meno croccanti immersi in un velo lattico... quasi un gelato alle more. Speziatura materica, tangibile e non eterea, incenso e lavanda. In bocca bel corpo, quasi piccante e finale rinfrescante di arancia amara. Buono!!

Some 2011 Côte de Nuits (Thibault Liger Belair, Jean Tardy, Follin-Arbelet RSV): Juicy cherry red. Very opulent in the nose, fragrant, slightly truffely, earthy, seductive. Beautiful on the palate, slightly tart, but balanced, medium to soft tannin, medium acidity, good structure though. Powerful, but delicate at the same time. Excellent, but expensive for its level.
