Ruby with some bricking on the rim. Red cherry and the oak is still present on the nose and palate- basically, a little dried out. Struggled with this wine over many years of working my way through the 6 bottles I had and, for me, it’s never been quite right for a Brunello di Montalcino. Last bottle and good riddance!

Lovely final bottle of this fully mature wine. Slightly brown in colour with a solid red core. Subtle nose of forest floor, mushroom and a touch of tobacco. Smooth mouthfeel. Similar flavours to the nose along with a nice bite. Very enjoyable wine.

Fully mature and beginning to fade. Funky, earthy, freshly pulled turnip, farmyard and mushroom. What little fruit that's left on the nose is red cherry which comes through on the slightly austere palate.

Clear, red colour. Attractive nose of raspberry, liquorice and a little tar. Similar flavours - rounded mouthfeel with good balance. Lovely wine and drinking very well.
