  • Nose of black berry, plum, sawdust, and spring flowers, same on the palate, medium/big body, tasty, a lovely food wine, and a medium/long finish, flavorful aftertaste.

  • This one's for Barbera lovers, which I'm not.
Currently a fatty Barbera with ample fruit, wanting acidity and some harsh tannins. Nothing in balance.

May come together, but I'm not sticking around to find out. Life's too short and precious ❣️

Last btl. Dreaming of the good old days when they added a bit of CS to this wine 🍷. Their 2001 is still going strong and is aaaaamazing!!!

  • Massive perfume!
Interesting energy on the palate, of extract of flowers, great mid palate, great finish of spices and acid of massive floral. It’s kindda like hops, cascade?
Fantastic elegance. Wow, energy on the palate. Love it.
It’s tart and floral, which is a big food wine. Enjoy with any dish as it compliments most anything from meaty fish to BBQ.
    It’s like drinking flowers.
But just excellent. Great spice and energetically long finish.

  • Ok vin fra Spinetta, men hans barbera er langt bedre. Fin smag i munden, men lidt kort eftersmag.

  • Deep, brooding and oh so dry. My mouth is puckering as I write this. Wonderfully strong nose of fig, tree bark and dark fruit (blackberry, etc.). Fruit comes out much more after 30 min in glass. 2-3 hour decant would likely do wonders. Palate is smooth, but there's very strong tannins here. This is a powerful red blend akin to an Amarone Classico, but not as rich and much more dry. Full body with long powerful finish. Meant for sipping.
