Rote Beerenfrucht, Trockenobst, leichte mineralische und vegetabile Unternoten; gut ausbalanciert, nicht allzu komplex; mir fehlt die Herkunft - könnte von überall herkommen...

Enjoyed over two nights. Came along better on day two, when it opened up more. Bordeaux right bank like nose, with some smoked oak and dark sweeter fruit, plums and blackberries, earth and tobacco leafs. Palate shows somewhat sweet and warm dark fruit, plums, sweet spices, chocolate, oak and some herbs, with medium structure and tannins. Acidity somewhat levels out the sweetness present. Overall an enjoyable wine, from a good vintage, but perhaps not something I will run out to purchase up on next release. Room for improvement. (89 – 90)

Great nose on pop and pour and it just rapidly evolved over the next 2 hours. Great pairing with local pasta night fare and the finish shows depth of Nebbiolo influence. Great stuff that I believe will age very well.

This is coming along nicely. After a few sorrows, our old passion for La Spinetta wines is again understandable. Good nose, not too overtly oaked, a bit subdued overall, not the greatest sniffer. On the palate it's perfectly dry and mineral, with orange acidity and a very fine grain tannic structure. Elegant performance for a Rivetti wine. Excellent stuff, will be exciting to follow.

A little closed and tannic. Big.Probably needed a few years. Kind of like me when warming up playing tennis: A little rusty at the beginning but you can tell I will be kicking up very soon. Best with food--had with brasied short ribs.
