  • From the list at Chateau du Marcay. Dark red, opaque, bricking at the rim. Young nose of sweet red fruit, floral elements. Palate was delicious, with forest floor, sage, some oyster (I'm as surprised as you are). Medium/- acidity, medium+ finish with mostly resolved tannin.

This was a wine drinking at peak from a very cold cellar. Tons of sediment, but not such that it detracted from the wine. Went fantastically with a variety of courses from mackerel to pork saddle.
