This is a bottle I purchased recently in France, fill level was excellent and the wine poured out supremely fresh and vibrant. There’s a little coffee to the aroma along with wet earth, sap and sweet, briary fruits. In the mouth it is plush and textured with alternative layers of sweet and savoury. The sweetness intensifies from the heart as it brathes and it possesses beautifully crisp acidity and still some firm tannic structure. We ‘Audouzed’ for 7 hours prior and the wine was ‘bullet-proof’ in the glass, with a remaining sip or two still appearing fresh many hours later.
