  • Pours medium ruby with some orange bricking
Nose jumps from the glass...rich red cherries, soy, red flowers, earth, subtle mushroom, forrest floor, and moss.
Palate shows cherry, bramble, soy, earth, spice...there is a mix of really pretty red pinot fruit, earthy notes, flowers all layered in a pretty floral palate. Almost has a rayas-esque aspect to it.
Finish is long. Really pretty and drinking a peak I think but this has legs to go a few more years if stored well. Great bottle.

  • Ripe darkish fruit, silky extract, tannins gentle, good acidity. Certainly tastes like Burgundy but this lacks distinction. Not tertiary but not much lurking structure or concentration either. Drink up?

  • Ruby color, although pale around the edges. Pleasant nose. Moderately sweet red fruit, some nice acidity and earthiness, and a smooth texture. Well balanced and fully mature.

  • I've now had this wine 4 times over the past month. Not so good with turkey and dressing for Christmas dinner but excellent tonight with pan roasted poussin and root vegetables. This is a wine that shows differently with different dishes. Pair with hearty basic dishes and it should be nice. Drink up.

  • I tasted this wine last week and was not so impressed. Had again (2 bottles with friends) with a hearty bean and pasta dish and it seemed much better. Good fruit, moderate texture. I don't think it will improve further. Drink and enjoy for the next couple of years.
