A transcendent experience. Complex, layered, surprising, elegant, endless. Evolved and showed many thrilling dimensions over the course of several hours of enjoyment. (Purchased direct, stored professionally, perfect cork).

might be one of the best wines I have ever had. It was flawless. Opened and let it decant for two hours. Had a glass 8 hours later and was the same. Ate with a massive T-bone steak.

Deep purple in the glass. No bricking. American oak present, with those coconut type notes. Relatively primary purple fruit, florals, a touch of bitter chocolate, and mild pyrazines, manifesting as mint and eucalyptus. Quality winemaking here on display. Consensus was California. Dave guessed Screaming Eagle, and he was right. Palate length and concentration is very good here. A privilege to taste this, even though outside of my regular wheelhouse. If you love Napa, you will love this, but let them rest another decade at least.

Deep purple, good rather than great and unlike 2007-2010 Screaming Eagle, this probably needs at least another 3-5 years.
