  Good>Very good. Just fine on PnP - develops in the glass from there. Juicy, somewhat flashy for a riserva, this seems in its preferred plateau just now, though it'll hold another 4-5 years, at least, at this level, too. A glass on day two showed only mild deterioration. Fun. recommended

  Decanted, starts out with plenty of cherries and anise spice and continues to develop more intensity with time in the decanter. Tannins have faded leaving only hints of the former structure but now its all acidity which gives it a much lighter body. Reminds me of of a Ruche in that regard. Interesting transformation IMO. My only bottle, but I would say drink now. Overall Evaluation: A- (90).

  Just enough purple to be opaque to the edge. Inviting aromas of cherry and meadow flowers. At 12 years old, very well integrated and harmonious. One of the finest Nebbiolos outside of the famous Barolo and Barbaresco appellations in Piedmont.

  Liked this a lot. Really bright, exuberant red fruit here - much bolder and riper than I typically expect from Gattinara, but coming across perfectly balanced with high toned florality, spice, and earth accenting it. Lovely wine.

  Blind: Plommer, tobakk, mineraler, alkohol, eksotiske krydder, I munn er det kjølig frukt, litt markert alkohol. Balsamiske toner og medisinskap. Gjettet nebbe. Riktig. Gjettet at dette var barbaresco fra 2007. Årgang riktig. Gattinara Riserva. 2007 fra Travalgini. Moro å smake. Sett i perspektiv er dette veldig ungt. Veldig kjølig frukt, frisk, litt alko selv om dette bare er 13,5 % og den fremstår som flott balansert. Lang og strukturert. Flott vin. 91_92
