- Garnet color with medium forming legs and aromas of dusty and has flavours of blackberry with a medium/full body. Linear texture with a medium finish - Sightly flat and not as rich as expected.

An excellent example of an outstanding medium bodied Nebbiolo from Northern Piedmont in Italy, delivering a slightly hard candy, floral bouquet with a orangish hue. Time has been kind to this wine, as the tannins have softened considerably but still remind you of their presence. There are sour berries (maybe choke cherries) up front, followed with a medium mouth feel and a lengthy delicious finish.

I'm thinking the best bottle of Gattinara I've ever had. Perfumy roses and cherry on the nose. Nice rich pure nebbilo on the palate - blackish cherry. Extremely mouth filling and finishes long. Not of the scale of a top flight barolo, but at $29 a bottle a few years ago at Carlo Russo's, great QPR.

Nice red fruit - an easy drink - but nebbiolo expression is definitely on the thin side.
