Grange des Peres vertical (Robersons): A blend of Roussanne:Chardonnay c 70:30 with a tiny dollop of Marsanne. Deep lemon. Clear and bright. Clean. Roussanne nose, honeyed, floral. Surprisingly youthful, still a touch of oak on the nose. With air a little bit of ginger? On the palate this remains relatively primary with citrus, floral character. Only medium - length, and a little warmth on the finish. While not high acid, this had better freshness than the 1997 than followed, perhaps because of its more youthful flavour. GFWII, but not a buy. The group rated it as WOTN?!
