Regular dinner group (@ JvT): Caramel and honey in the bouquet. On the palate caramel, butterscotch, spiciness and a firm amount of sweetness. Firm and good acidity. For me personally less impressive than in 2011.

Has taken a turn for the worse since my last note. Alcohol is very prominent, with only touches of marsanne-like fruit. It's ok but feels like it's past its best.

Pretty hedonistic wine. Broad shouldered, both on the nose and the palate, with notes of honey, acacia, almonds and pear. Sort of a weird mix between a white burg, white dry bordeaux and white hermitage. Would need a touch more acidity to be great. Color was worryingly dark but no impact on the wine.

Quite evolved, but still impressive.
