Ten Years On - 2012 Cabernet Sauvignons (Canoehead Central): Lovely dark garnet with a purple core. Complex bouquet or as one reacted – “that’s a punch in the face!”. Lots of spice and wood on the nose – cedar, vanilla, nutmeg, roasted nuts. Others picked up a distinct bubble gum aroma. Classic Cabernet dark red fruits carried through on the tongue. A bit sweet-ish. Acid seemed low. A bit sour on the finish. Finished fifth overall.

I've never had a Duckhorn this good, but I've also never kept in my cellar this long. I'm glad I did. This has aged exceptionally and I would say would last another 10 years.

Really enjoyable after a decant. Not a Pop & Pour as it was disjointed after opening. But at 10 yrs it still has a lot of fruit and lovely finish. Sadly my 2 adult sons and a friend drank most of it while my wife and I were cooking. (Note to self: access control!)

Didn't feel that it had a great deal of depth. Good, but not epic

Popped and poured at a restaurant. Drinking well at the moment, and not corked like my last bottle of this vintage.
