Note is based on a tasting sip in the morning on day one, ~3cl on the evening and 0,1l filled in a bottle on the evening of day three. Glass: Zalto Universal Clear, deep tawny color with some brown reflexes. Looking old and past peak. Clean, medium intense fully developed, almost past peak nose. Slightly oxidized, some fine oak, lovage, spices. Dry, high, well integrated acidity, Medium+, fine tannin. Medium, 13% abv. Medium body. On the palate astonishingly fres with some warm, ripe fruit, ripe oak, herbs, but also some lovage. Good balance, round, velvet texture, good tension. Medium length. Drink now, no potential. 88

Weekly tasting group RWP #296: A beautiful mix (@ RW): In the bouquet red berries, leather, oak, some caramel and impressions of celery. On the palate juicy red berries, beautiful acidity and mild tannin with a pleasant bite. Fully mature and beautiful wine.

At 21 Boulevard party with Les Gobeloteurs group in Beaune (Jacky Barthelme of Albert Mann, Jean Dominique Vacheron, Pierre Larmandier, Stephane Ogier, Jean-Claud Ramonet, others...). Tasted lots of wine from magnum, remember very little.

Pinot Dinner (Chez Gill): Notes from day 2 open (overnight in the refrigerator) Sweet red cherry, a touch of balsamic vinegar, and pomegranate. Rich on the palate, with loads of red fruit coated with sweet tobacco...fine streak of acidity keeps everything lively and a very chalky tannic finish with some bitter herbs and pith to close.

Red fruit (cherry), earth, spice, good acidity. Good finish. Slight chalk? Needs a couple hours air
