Clearly nowhere near as good as previous bottle. Not unpleasant by any means, but disappointing for a grand cru and showing no Clos de Bèze characteristics. Purchased on close-out about 15 years ago.

Consistent with my last note. Intensive and delicious nose of ripe to lightly poached red fruit, black tea and earth notes. This time I found also some floral component, resembling dried rose petals. Medium body, silky, balanced, good length. Has kept remarkably well.

Medium strawberry to brick red. Intensive nose of poached red berries, earth and black tea. Medium bodied, nicely balanced and round; flavours of red fruit and tea. Good length. Not necessarily the meatiest example and possibly this is on the declining end, but still very nice. High time to drink up though.

Cellared since release. Well-made with crisp red fruits and good depth, but still surprisingly primary. Needs at least a few more years in the cellar.
