The succulent, fruity side of this wine has faded leaving more of a grapefruit and gooseberry facade. Still extremely rich but pared down considerably from its youth. For my tastes this is probably a little better at age 15 than 20+

Impressions from a weekend in Napa Valley Day 2 (Napa Valley): had at the winery a bloom of caramel, ripe peaches and mushroom on the nose showing the transformation in its age. On the palate it was still fresh and full of acid with copious amount of honey coated white fruit. Very tasty.

Very nice....in an aged wine way. Darker golden in color, like an aged Sauternes. Floral nose of mineral lemon/lime, honey butter, overripe pear/apple. Creamy mineral fruit(pear, apple, fig), tangy sharp lemon(pickled), floral blossom, dusty white pepper spice, some exoticness, white truffle honey, vanilla oak. Holding up extremely well for a domestic SB. Exotic, aged complexities......nice!
