  • Dinner with Monthly Group at Naked Finn (Naked Finn): A little on the riper, more modern side, but this was pretty decent. The nose bore more than a passing resemblance to Sauvignon Blanc, with tropical fruit and an edge of gooseberries lined with just a whiff of minerality. The palate was more Chablis though, with a citrus spine cutting through fleshy white fruit flavours, and a decent bit of mineral and zest at the finish. Acidity was decently fresh rather than zippy, but still enough to make this very good friendly. Pretty good, and it should get better with a bit of age under its good as well.

  • Light straw color. Nose of pineapples and gooseberries with a tinge of sea spray and minerality. Balanced nose. Palate has fresh acidity and decent length and concentration. Good wine but not a blockbuster. A bit anonymous even if it's flawless. Would rather try other promising wines than buy this one again. But on the other hand, if this was the only chardonnay in the world, I would not complain. It's a good wine.
