  • Dark ruby red with medium plus to high optical density and medium reflectivity (not quite specular, but not too diffuse). Slight amber tinged rim. Aromas are intense and appealing, with roses, cherry, and sappy red fruits along with a touch of spice. Very classic varietal notes, and very appealing and powerful. So far, so great! On the palate, medium body and acidity, with fully integrated tannins. Very rich, just short of sappy texture, with huge appeal. A bit of vinous character, but still fresh. Flavours of cherry and rose on the attack, with loads of spices and earth coming on at midpalate. Really full over the midpalate, maintains flavours really well. Some light tobacco and smoke come on at the finish, and things are juicy and show a touch of balsamic zest. Medium plus finish length, and nice intensity.

Really great, straight ahead PN here, with rich flavours and pure expression. Lovely, drinkable, elegant, and shows its age wonderfully.

  • Well after seeing other ratings on this bottle here on the site i was bit worried as i paid a high price here in Denmark, fortunately i like the wine, but the price in Denmark is way to high....for the price one must pay in Germany the wine is really nice.
It has a sweet almond smell as well as some red berries.
On the palate its bright red fruits, but also some darker notes.
I had it in a Zalto Burgundy glass, tried it decanted and straight from the bottle was best result.
so at 179 Danish Kroner its not worth its high price.
in Germany one can find it for around 16 Euro where i think the price matches the wine better.

  • Hits the hooter with cherry, forrest floor, light herbs and some heat. Clear texture of light red, medium long finish, creamy. Palate of clear cherry, raspberry, unripe plum, somewhat flat. Oak is present with some musty elements. A little hot flavours a little flat.

    Enjoyable, not a keeper.
