From 75cl screwcap, P+P. Decent commercial NZ PN with pleasant red/soft-fruited aroma, slightly oxidised/brown palate (yesterday‘s fruit salad?) saved by bright acidity and a tingling clean finish. Drink now. 85-86P

N....medium+ intensity; a whiff of alc, some toasty oak, lush ripe red fruits, a touch of charm but no complexity (forest floor etc), not seductive or exciting.
C.....light red, looks light-medium body, clear.
T....clearly a commercial style - nothing wrong with that, the price reflects it. Fresh acid, some decent warm spices and savoury flavour; some dry herbs; finishes near-dry. Tannins are gentle, a hint of leather. Nothing especially interesting or complex. Maybe will get further down that road in the cellar (2 yrs old at the moment). Flavours are a bit short.
VFM?....feels worth £14 at the most. Probably not going to buy again. I's hoped for better because VM's 'Cellar Selection' level is reputedly good/decent and the 2019 in Marlborough was reported as a vintage without difficulties.

sweet fruity note, cola, candy, a little liquorice. smooth and silky tannins, bright balanced acidity. this wine keeps consistent style under well quality control, no mistake in a good vintage.
Ap 5/5, Ar 12/15, Palate 16/20, Overall 3+2/10 Total 88+/100
