  Appearance is relatively young. Quite saturated colour. Nose is dark berries. Palate is similar to the nose, with some noticeable tannin on the finish. This is entering its drinking window, but 2012s in general seem to be pretty stubborn and may benefit from more time still. Drink or hold.

  Sense of freshly cut underbrush, cherries and herbs invite exploration. When held in the mouth for a while the slightly medical impression of a cherry Luden’s drop come forward, blending the nose into a cohesive whole.
  High toned and woody first and foremost with fruit flavors a distinct second place. The acid is dominant and gradually makes way for an underlying sense of structure. While nice to drink now, also an easy hold for future development.

  Over 3 hours it went from very floral, to green and stemmy to umami for days. On day two it settled into some sous bois, tart berry fruit, stems and fungus. Pretty and straight forward.
