Mildly corked. Very dusty and tertiary. Am sure there are better bottles out there but 1988 red burgs rarely impress. Whites have fared much better in my experience.

Started off a bit tight and lacking compared to the 96 Hudelot Noellat RSV. After decanting and about an hour in the decanter, the wonderful spice and sandlewood nose emerges. The palate is perfectly integrated and the fruit is still present. Excellent.

After a couple hours in the decanter, lots of great tertiary character emerged. Well integrated and lovely mouthfeel.
