Subtle nose was attractive but I m just not a fan it was rustic and just didn’t have the freshness and balance you would expect. Not sure if more cellaring can help? Drank this on the second day and it didn’t really improve.

Oh dear, nose had that very unwelcome, slight tinge of wet cardboard... Palate seems to be fine (not tainted) - dense dark-red fruits, velvety texture with a long finish. Incomplete “Pinot experience” without the nose :( What a bummer...

Criminal in some respects to drink now, but delicious nonetheless. Day 1 is spices, dark red/borderline black fruit on the nose with the same echoed on the palate and a super, super long finish. Day 2 is a lot of the same but with some softened structure. There is immense acid/tannin structure here off the bat, and given this isn't a big, warm vintage it really needs time to integrate. However, this still drinks really well with food, and while this really isn't accessible to most people it's worth noting that it CAN BE consumed now if paired correctly. Drink now with a 3-4 hour decant or forget about it for 5+ years.

Richebourg & RSV (Mag's Wine Kitchen): Sadly this is tainted. The underlying material is superb though.
