Original release. Perfect condition. Nose displayed sweet red currant, coffee beans, bouquet and flowers. Inviting sweetness on the palate which expanded with more complexity in the glass. Very charming. Another great old Arnoux.

From a recent cellar release last year this showed extremly young, almost as though it was re-conditioned with younger wine. The palate was the wines best attribute with the nose smelling "off" like sulfur. The palate was smooth and inviting unlike most 76's which exhibit drying tannins. Not a pure example.

Full red. Big spicy black fruit aroma. Briary spicy black fruit with licorice hints on the palate. Relatively short finish and a bit more acid than you'd like. 7/06

Cold fruit, spices, a little bit muddled. I think this needed a little more time in bottle (recent domaine release) and a little more air.

Vosne-Romanee Grand Cru and Premier Cru Dinner (Kevin Restaurant, Chicago IL): Tasted single blind. Earthy underbrush aromas with modest spice, some remaining black fruit aromas. Palate more earthy, less fresh, slightly less exciting.
