  dark ruby and quite opaque in the glass
  
  the nose is fragrant with scents of dried rose petals, violets, sandalwood, black currants and sous bois.
  
  firm and round in the mouth with softened tannins and palpable acidity anchoring the mellow yet concentrated layers of red and black fruits with hints of herbs and pepper.
  
  satisfyingly long finish… a nice mature bottle from the youngest Mt. Harlan vineyard.

  Lovely and compact dark raspberry fruit with a touch of vanilla. It is starting to shed some of the sweet fruit that it had in its youth and are entering a lovely drinking window.
  Well-structured, with a good acidity and minerals. The aftertaste is long and persistent. Very impressive performance! 93-94p.
