Medium ruby red. Savory notes on the attack of the nose with white pepper, meat, smoky and leather. Undertones of dark cocoa, spices and dark cherries. Medium tannins (5.5/1) and balanced acidity. Medium bodied with some juicy red fruits, and peppered spices. Sweet spices gained intensity with air. Medium finish. Drink till 2018.

Interesting GSM. Purple clear colour, nose of licorice, pepper, and bay leaf. I actually had to go smell them in the cabinet as I was thinking green peppers.
Tastes of mild licorice, blackberry, round and pleasing with spice. Low to moderate pepper tannins.

36% Shiraz, 34% Mataro, 30% Grenache. wild dark berry fruit aromas. very suave fruit palate. dark red fruit salad. Three Gardens represents 3 Vineyards. Context is key, as the presenter calls this a 'light to medium bodied cuvee.'

Their focus is purely on Barossa. dark berry and liquored fruit aromas. a little sweet green Aussie typicity. palate has more of an elegant and fresh kick than the liquored aromas on the nose show. nice drinking. only 5% new oak.

Spicy red fruit, lovely violets on the palate, and crisp tight acidity on the back end. This is the original village name, hence the winery name. Which was changed in World War I. Within a decade Halliday gave them the top 5% of aussie wine award - if I got that correct. Their thought is stick to wines that they lake.
Older seasoned oak on the nose and palate - meaning not really present except for feeling that the fruit is more opened up and draws out the fruit aromas.
