Three years since my last review and this is still a lovely wine. Langmeil are one of Barossa's finest and produce classy wines. This is light and fruity with a surprising hit of oak. Mouth filling and a little jammy - but not too much. Lovely.

30m air for this SMG blend (48% Shiraz, 29% Mataro, 23% Grenache).
Medium Garnet color. A bit shy at first, opening with time in glass. Cured meats, cherry, eucalyptus. Zesty and structured, with red and black fruit dominating the palate.

Langmeil never fail with their wines. This one is light and very fruity with black fruit, plum and cherry. Smooth and pleasant and quite suitable for a night in front of the TV.

Raspberry and very fruit expressive on the nose. Fruit driven across the palate and not much secondary flavors coming through. A purity there.
Its become a bit more Mataro influenced - with the source of Matro they have been getting they are using more to round out the middle.
And has drive and energy on the palate as well. Some new oak but the idea is just to round it out. A staff favoriteat the winery apparently.
Asavory compenent with herbal high tones I am being told.
