Singing at the moment - colour is starting to turn - well integrated tannins by now - drink or hold. Will keep last bottle a few years to see where it goes

(Guido, Fontanafredda) PnP. Ripe fruit is forward here, yet balanced overall. Flowery aromatics, some dried rose petals, delicate overall with fruit more than offsetting the tannins. '00 Fontanafredda La Rosa came off as more tannic and bigger in comparison. Very enjoyable at this stage.

LPV Lyon 2, Christmas dinner. Served blind, my wine. Decanted for 2hrs then returned to bottle. Red currants and spiced red fruits on nose, evolves to fruit cake, old wood furniture, flowers and tobacco. Initially palate was a bit disjointed (bit too cold on initial pour) but slowly came together, robust tannin and driving acid meld and take on a silkier texture. Long finish. Bottle did not quite have the purity and depth of fruit of tasting of this wine at the domain back in 2017... I think maybe could have used even more air than the 2 hr decant I gave it...

Reviewing 2009 Barolo (Javier's Place - Madrid): Less than 2,000 bottles per year of this wine for ageing, with a classic style on the nose and without shrillness, it is abundant, made with finesse and good taste in the mouth. Still have to wait.
Menos de 2.000 botellas al año de este vino de guarda, de estilo clásico en nariz y sin estridencias, abundante, elaborado con finura y buen gusto en boca. Todavía hay que esperar.

Nose: The nose is deep, savory, and perfumed with a dark red fruited base. The tones of violets, dark red cherries, raspberries, earth notes, leather, minerals, juniper berries, and licorice.
Taste: Medium/full bodied with medium+ tannins and medium+ acidity. The tannins are chewy and somewhat stiff with the acidity having some punch as well. The feel has some density to it along with a darker take to the tones of violets, dark red cherries, raspberries, sour red fruits, juniper berries, and licorice tones.
Overall: This was decanted for over 6 hours before consuming. This is an outstanding Barolo that is drinking extremely well right now. It needs some time to get going, but it picks up more nuance and perfume as it gets more air. While this can easily age for another 8+ years, this is quite accessible right now if given plenty of air.
