Displaying a medium garnet hue, the 2002 Grosset Gaia has evolved gracefully in the bottle. The bouquet reveals enticing notes of cherry and red fruits, intertwined with hints of vanilla and spice. As the wine opens up, the palate presents a harmonious blend of blackcurrant and savory flavors, including leather and tobacco. With time, the fruit has become seamlessly integrated, resulting in a beautifully rounded and mature wine. The 2002 Grosset Gaia is drinking superbly right now.

Deep garnet in colour. Subdued minty nose. Rich full tertiary flavours of blackcurrant and subtle wood. A spectacular wine with years to go yet

Still powerful darl fruits I the noise and pallet. Ha-Nghi thought the Felius from WA, current release at $25 was comparable and just as good.
I disagree. This is much much more refined, softer and rounded.
Alcuin picked the aged one vs the young one. Great pallet!
Paired with slow roasted free range organic chicken. Gravy made from juices of chicken and vegetables extracted.
Wagyu NY cut beef, $109 a kilo. We bought 1 kg to also show roast then pan seared.
Served with potato pocket crisps, snow peas and butter beans.
What a meal! 10/10, especially the love in the room.
