This is a good wine, in a good place. For me there is an obvious Cab Sauv dominance. Showing a lot of red fruit dominance - cassis and blackcurrant with a touch of earthy undertones. There is some definite oak presence with nice toasty cocoa notes, but this is very well integrated into the wine. In fact, the wine is very well composed with fruit, oak, a very nice lick of acid and still enough tannin/structure on the finish to balance everything off. Time has been kind to this wine/bottle and it has a mellow drink ability that keeps you reaching for your glass. Under screwcap, so likely some life still left in it, but for me this is where I want it....high silver/low gold territory.

Impeccable Bordeaux Blend from Gaia - too young at this point in time. Dark ruby colour. Typical Cab Franc nose, pronounced perfume, spice, raspberries, blackcurrants, hint of violets. Palate of predominantly darkish fruit, blackcurrants, plums, spice again. Tannins still rough, needs a handful more years to integrate. Decent finish.

Quite a Cab Franc-like nose with its herbaceousness (capsicum) and earth. The fruit underneath is quite dark. Quite plush in the mouth until mid-palate when the acidity and gritty tannins come in. Finishes a little lean. Nice, polished, but not particularly complex, and certainly not worth the money

Good ripe fruit on the nose (black currant). Fresh, elegant, dry style, not too heavy body, but excellent silky palate with fine-grained tannins that adds a real grip at the end. Some mocha notes but the oak is really well integrated.
Mix of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with some Cabernet Franc (hard to tell, could easily have passed for pure cabernet Sauvignon) from the vineyard that is the highest elevation in the Clare Valley. There is sweet fruit and some oak for sure, but it's balanced and elegant.
Really easy to drink now, although I suspect it will improve over next ten years.

Garnet colour. Soft blackcurrant on the nose, sage, veggie overtones. Good palate, firm. Drinking well now.
