Mega herby on the nose, with added lavender, smoke, and heady black cherry. The char and smoke and cherry nicely present on the palette with added new leather. The secondary and tertiary flavours are to the fore.

Exactly what you would expect. Classic Gigondas black and red fruits with reglisse. Drink now if you haven’t already. This is the age (>10yrs) when I switch from Racines to Terrasse du Diable.

Drinking mighty fine right now — opened on NYE and this held its own against a group of more powerful wines you’d expect to outslug a Gigondas (Sagrantino, Priorat, Zinfandel) — but this still was the crowd favorite and first to be finished.

Wow. I’ve had these for a while but they are really coming into their own. Gorgeous fruit, great with lamb, nice structure. Lovely!
