Brownish red color. Dusty notes, cherry, slight medicinal note, roses, menthol. It’s a medium weight, still with moderate amount of tannins. After some air I get dark chocolate covered cherries on the palate. Lots of depth and complexity. Drinking well now and over the next decade.

The first time I am tasting this since tasting it at the winery at release. Pretty notes of sweet red berries, red cherries, strawberries, sweet spices (cinnamon, licorice), crushed violets and some mint. It‘s medium-full bodied, but feels not heavy at all, has medium+ acidity and medium+ tannin adding structure and freshness. Very good length. A very pretty Bricco Fiasco that seems a little less structured than some of the best vintages but makes up for it with accessability and good balance. To drink over the next 10 years or so.

Restaurant purchase Tosca DC. Young yet approachable. Burgundy Al’s brief note sums it up. The key here is that the GM opened it 30 minutes before arrival but it should have been at a minimum 1 - 1.5 hours. I say this because, while it was great seeing the wine evolve through dinner, it was the last after 2 hours that had deep rich dark chocolate, coffee, dark cherries on the palate that were sublime and seductive. Excellent now and going forward.
