  • Beautifully aromatic and fresh with flowers pressed in an old book, spice box, sandalwood incense and sweet black cherries and blackberries baked with rosemary and thyme. Full-bodied, this is nearing full maturity, though it still needs at least 2+ hours in decanter. Road tar, pine resin, charred oak, a bit of mint and blackberries complete the palate which has soft, but mouth-filling tannins. A bit leaden. Drink now-2028+ 92

  • Let me start by saying that I love old wine but this one is only 13 years old and feels 33 years old. Total bricking color almost brown. The wine lives up to its name "bricco fiasco". This is an aged wonder child exhibiting flavors which I just love. I read the "soy sauce" by CT member CAILLES and I must say ..... I agree. Probably past peak and worth opening sooner rather than later.

  • I loved this - yes still a bit ore time preferred. Was a few weeks ago so no detail here. However still had freshness. Yum

  • 13x Pinot Greatness: Tasted double blind. Added to a Pinot lineup. The minefield that is aged Barolo… this was another example of a prematurely aged specimen. While it showed quite complex on the palate, it’s still had the 2010 sturdiness and structure and would need more time to soften. But with soy sauce notes already there today, the wine probably won’t have enough time to get there. I don’t like those soy sauce/oxidation notes and hence, the 90pts are probably a bit generous.

TN: A bit acidic on the nose, dark fruits and minerality. On the palate dark fruit, a beautiful minerality, some smokey notes. But unfortunately, soy sauce notes. Medium complex and quite well defined. The wine is quite structured and even a bit rustic with some hard tannins, the freshness is very good and a highlight is the satin-like texture.

  • 3 hour decant

Floral forward nose with potpourri dried herbs, dried flowers, dusty cherries, earthy tones. Medium weight with dusty, dry tannins, slightly barren. Needs time?
