DBYOB 3.0 The Rise of the Eternal Return (@swedish home): My favourite amongst this excellent line-up. A little oxidized nose if I was not imagining things (although this is made in the ouillé style), very pure fruit, a real step up from the two fine bred white Burgundies, very big frame on this on the palate. Lovely! tied for WOTN.

Not very much like a Jura.... or anything else, for that matter. There are hints of the typical Jura oxidation, but not very much. There's a bit of elegant, slightly burgundian, oaking that lends floral, hyacinthy aromas. There's plenty of promise here but at this point it doesn't really follow through. Hold, hold, hold...

Amber. Durians and faint limestone on the nose. Fruity with hints of minerals on the palate. Terroir and typicity. Will only get better with cellar time (5 yrs?).

My first time trying Tissot's high end cuvee. Similar in color to the Gravieres, but the nose on this popped & poured wine is more forceful, with that petrol nuance I have noticed before in some of Tissot's Chardonnays.
Almost bone dry on the palate, tightly-coiled, very long on the finish (which I am still tasting as I type this).
When you come to "luxury cuvees", it's always difficult to decide whether the additional cost is offset by additional "pleasure", for lack of a better word. I'm not sure I have the answer after this first glass, but I will concede this is a very impressive Chardonnay, and there is a lot more going on here right now than with the 2013 Gravieres I just tried.
