A rustic wine with blood, iron, earth, forest floor and even still some dark fruits. Good acidity. Soft and mature tannin. Still a good bite and very lively. Impressive that this wine still rocks.

Regular dinner group (@ MH): Rustic and barnyard flavors in the bouquet. On the palate rustic as well and also still very juicy with good acidity and bitterness. Mature, but still a lively wine.

Certainly rustic and full of tertiairy development: blood, smoke, mushroom, tar, dry sausage. On the palate this is still remarkably fresh and vigorous! At first there's a distant hint of sweetness of ripe fruit and this provides an interesting recollection of the fruit which probably was sumptious once, but has almost faded now. Bright and clean mouthfeel, racy fruit-like acidity, lovely bitterness in the finish. Past its peak, yet very drinkable at the moment. An autumnal wine to decorate your dining table. 17/20

Orangey brick color. Lots of sediment. Obviously full of aromas - mushroom and tobacco with lots of barnyard-y flavors. There is a hint of red fruit leftover. Past Peak.
1982 was a great year in Bordeaux so it was really interesting to try a wine from such a remarkable vintage!

Still magnificent. Leather, mushroom, and tobacco but still enough fruit for balance. At its peak - must have been a glorious 1982 vintage
