Moderate garnet in the glass. No decanting, just drank it straight from the bottle. At its peak, but on the decline - aromas of dried red fruit, dried plum, musty cigar box, dried mushrooms. Palate is soft and smooth with moderate acidity and alcohol. Well-balanced, but starting to get muted slowly. Enjoyable with cheese on a hot afternoon. Nothing too complex or interesting at this stage.

Drank some time ago (forgot to note it) but from memory it was just a really good mature médoc. Still some fruit with nicely resolved tannins and balanced tertiary notes integrating pretty well into a whole. Delicious! No hurry to drink this up.

WES - Château Cissac (Imperial College London): Quite intense. Little sign of ageing. Big cassis punchy nose with a touch of spice. Fruity dry and tannic but somewhat disjointed and under developed for my taste. More time required here.
