This is amongst my favourite labels and arguably a wine that I picked for special moments and that now reminds me of those moments every time I drink it. The wine has matured well since the last tasting and has kept all the red fruits in its opening while a broad set of secondary and tertiary aromas like vanilla, oak, liquorice, leather, tobacco. Tannins are soft and well integrated. No signs of decay and surely good for a few more years.

Had it right after the 2008 vintage of the same label. Benefits of aging were apparent and in favor of the 2008 vintage, at the point that I will try to drink this label only 10 years after the vintage.
Color, smell and taste followed the known pattern (dark red, red and black fruits, spices). However tannins could have still benefit from a little aging and the wine felt overall less intense than the 2008 vintage.
Will age the rest of the bottles further.

This is an elegant, international style blend of Nero d'Avola, Petit Verdot and Syrah. The oak spice is fairly prevalent on the nose and palate as a result of ageing for 14 months in new French oak barriques. The acidity is quite nice, thanks to the relatively high altitude vineyards. The alcohol is medium (+) at 13.5%. The tannins are medium to medium (+). The finish is relatively long. I am just not sure it's worth its $75+ retail price here in Houston.

Decanted for 2 hours. Wonderful dark cherry and little tannins despite being still a young wine. This wine will get better for years to come.
