Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 89.8 points

  • I basically subscribe to the tasting notes of "NoTrollingerPlease"; when I first tasted this wine some years ago I really enjoyed the elegant flavors of this Grauburgunder; sadly they did not turn into something special; maybe I just waited to long to open this bottle; anyway, poor pleasure cost ratio for me.

  • Glass: Riedel Vinum Burgundy
Popped and poured, drunk over two days. Clear, medium golden color with a salmon hue. Clean, medium- intense, developing nose. Dominant oak and toasting, pear, herbaceous, but also with a nice freshness. Deep and complex, but not very intense.
Dry, medium+ acidity a bit unbalanced. Ripe pear, some musty notes, some bitterness, spices, oaks as a backbone. Lacks a bit of substance on the mid palate. Medium+ length. Needs air to unfold. 89-90. Mediocre PQR.
