Deep ruby in color, and expressing lovely fragrances of pipe tobacco, sandalwood, strawberry preserves and cinnamon. The bouquet continues to fascinate and evolve with time, taking on cherry and nut characteristics. Very engaging! Palate takes more time to come around but is a pleasing and feminine expression of red berries, especially strawberry, finishing with a flash of mint. A tad bitter on the finish, but otherwise fresh and at a nice point for enjoyment, especially the scintillating nose. Higher-fat content foods eliminate the bit of bitter.
