  • No detailed note noting I tried this at the end of a night of many tastings

(to be 100% honest don't remember it being as good as many of the notes here but I wasn't really trying properly..!)

  • A very nice wine that shows off the 2010 vintage in Burgundy quite well. Good red fruits with enough transparency to appreciate the underling terroir quite well. Relatively delicate and elegant with pretty spice and brightness. Perhaps missing just a touch more complexity for this esteemed site vs top peers and some depth, but overall a very solid effort and drinking well with good life ahead.

  • Not a big Burgundy drinker, so this may be a bit out of my league. But having drank a couple of glasses of this, I found the wine to be very bordeaux in weight and character alike, and would have easily mistaken it for a bordeaux from a lean vintage. I could say 1996 or even 1998 (due to the acidity)...The acidity tricked me a bit..This was aged in appearance with a rusting rim, and had great length, grip, and feist. Lacked a bit of freshness I would have expected from a 2010 French wine from a great producer. Based on this experience, this wine was ready to drink and seemed to be at its best...

  • During a tasting. Medium garnet with crimson hue. Wow, very complex and aristocratic nose. Right of the bat you know this is special. Dark fruit with red berries, combined with a kaleidoscope of earthy and spicy tones, there is mint as well. Wonderful palate too, fresh, lots of energy with at the moment seriously grippy tannins. Stays light on its feet despite the power. Very convincing package and the WOTN for me. Be aware though that this wine need extended cellar time, I would not open this before 2025.

  • Wow... even in the very stiff competition this bottle stood out for it's sheer class, elegance and complexity.
Still super young but so beautiful, very classic notes of dark cherries, spices, graphite, menthol, orange zest, roses, etc. It's medium-full bodied with incredible mid-palate persistence and still a weightless mouthfeel, it has medium-high acidity and medium-high tannin that is super silky. Fantastic length. I would still keep this a few more years to let the aromatic complexity develop some more but this is an insanely beautiful Clos Saint-Denis. Super classic and aristocratic.
