Medium pale to medium ruby, with an interesting umami nose - palate is mostly cherry, some spice, nice, winey - definitely New World Pinot, but still elegant and restrained. Low key, subtle, but all the better for that. Excellent.

Dark berry fruits - cranberry/raspberry, earthy, spicy. Surprisingly fresh tasting and light on its feet. NIce balance even if the grip is more mellow than past bottles. I also thought there was more depth to the flavors in this bottle. 90+

Dark fruits, brambly, earthy and spicy. Medium body, nice balance, good depth and no sharp edges. Overall very solid and enjoyable with good Oregon typicity. The tartness of prior bottles was not noticeable and in fact, this bottle had plenty of fruit and good depth. Drinking very nicely right now. 90+

Interesting, but muted nose of red fruits, bramble, earth and cloves. Seemed very disjointed and out of balance on the palate for the first hour and then came together later. Somewhat muted flavors without a lot of depth, intensity or texture. Good acidity, but with more tartness than I prefer. Overall a bit lightweight, reserved and feminine. Nothing special, but still an enjoyable everyday wine. I actually thought it was better than some of the 2008 bottles of this wine, a vintage which seems to have a lot of bottle variation.

Very Burgundian profile. High acid and taut with sufficient fruit. May develop more with time.
