  First of three bottles. Used to top and recork the other two.
  This wine greatly exceeded my fairly modest expectations.
  Clearly this estate is ( or was) capable of producing some extraordinary wines back then.
  Mid-shoulder fill. Cork disintegrating but did its job.
  The hue was quite good its age. The wine could have passed for early 60s.
  Aromas clearly marked by the acidity but excellent complexity with earthy, spicy and mushroom elements.
  Not quite on the soy side of things yet and still had enough structure to hold the wine together. A bargain at auction.
