Similar to my April 2014 TN, but not as attenuated, with better fruit and with a little more charm. It does develop a strong mineral, even stony note however. Adequate.

Much lighter and drier than the bottle tasted in November, earth and leather, without the attractive stuffing of ripe fruit; slender, slightly attenuated even, relatively short and drying finish. A light and not really distinguished Pomerol, not past its sell-by date but certainly fully mature. Looking at the various TN's, there seems to be a lot of bottle variation.

Remarkably undistinguished. Single-note, primary fruitiness, like a new-world wine, with zero secondary development. And nowhere is even a hint of French terroir. A wine-consultant's product, not a traditional wine.

Mature but lively appearance, orange/brown meniscus; fully evolved, open nose, good depth, mineral freshness, crushed red fruit and a note of earth; the palate has a good stuffing of lovely, ripe and sweet 1999-fruit, medium weight, nice texture, very attractive balance and freshness, no lack of tannic grip; good length. Quickly becomes coarser and less charming after opening. Fully mature, showing well but drink up.
