(Ruffino Brunello di Montalcino Greppone Mazzi) #2; VaynerPAZZZ (based on QPR); COLOR-dark; NOSE-a little charcoal & beef jerky component; a rusty tin can full of dark sour cherries; TASTE-lots of tobacco; a little hot on the back-end; really nice cherries; great elegance; a good solid backbone of fertilizer and top soil; some cabbage leaf on the back-end; a well structured, massive wine -- I need food; a little off balance & hot on the finish; good mouthfeel & structure; this is a youthful wine; should last 10-15 years; a solid, well made wine; WE-91; GV-89

Lovely and perfectly aged wine. Lots of aged impressions with just a minor touch of cherry fruit. Elegant and intense but still a good depth. The tannins are completely integrated and smooth. Amazingly light intensity with an excellent balance!

Decanted but didn't need to. Darkest purple color wine I've ever seen.

Decanted for two hours - could have used more. Beautiful nose, chocolate, spice and cherry. Nice finish. Good, but not sure if it was great. It definetly seemed to come into its own an hour into dinner. Not my favorite brunello, but did enjoy.

"Open Cellar" at Wine Route Tel Aviv (Wine Route Tel Aviv): This Brunello aged lovely. It is complex and exquisite, showing red fruits, farm and earthy odors. Light bodied, good balance. Approachable. The best of the tasting.
