The first Cepparallo I ever drank. For some a cult wine, for me good, nice and pleasant to drink. But it lacks the depth, complexity and precision of fruit flavors to call this 100% Sangiovese outstanding.
Overrated and despite my limited Sangiovese experience, there are much better things out there.
Showed very well tonight. Open and ready. Finishes with grippy tannins. No need to wait.
TN: The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. Its flavors are like dark berries, forest floor, stoniness and light toast. The body is medium/full with a smooth texture. The wine has medium acidity and finishes with a medium length.

Smelled like a damp musty basement from the get go and unfortunately never came around over several hours in a decanter. Rather dull color as well. Rich fruit on the palate though. A bummer, since the previous bottle was excellent.
I agree this is drinking great right now. Dark red color. Very nice purity of fruit, good weight, great balance. A very pretty, classy wine. Kinda heavy on the new oak treatment, which didn't detract for me, I just feel it's really not necessary. The fruit is so good on its own. I would like to see what this wine would be like if it were aged in more neutral oak, but that's nitpicking.

A really lovely wine drinking well now. It has a rich palate and a lingering complex finish. This wine is elite…it’s special. It can stand against the best of wines.
