This wine is amazingly vigorous and youthful. Solid red, with some bricking at the rim of the glass. Glorious nose of black cherry, red cherry, dried flowers, mushrooms, and rich earth. In the mouth, velvety and amazing, with such purity and balance and vigor. It unfolds delicious fruit flavors, tinged with flowers and secondary notes. The acidity retains focus. The finish just sails on and on. This is the picture of a perfectly aged and beautiful California Pinot Noir. One of the more memorable I've ever tasted. A+

Vertical Tasting of Joseph Swan from 1974-1986: 1st place group - my 1st 15 percent Good depth with deeper note and on a link I will say the alcohol is a touch higher than others. Good layers, still together.
