  • Light garnet. Not too expressive but nuanced, with very pinot earth married to ripe red fruit, along with whiffs of slightly roasted bell pepper, black cardamom, and fennel. Starts low toned but becomes higher registering and maybe just slightly solvent-y. Solid but too gentle to be described as chunky, and yet this shows impressive force for a wine of only 12% alcohol. Long haunting finish. Comes across as much younger than it is.
