Very good QPR at this time (although I've had this wine when it was younger and was less than impressed). Hints of oak on first smell, but also has some earthiness and barnyard. Good acidity and fairly well concentrated. Not a massive wine, but had character and went well with pasta with red sauce.

Medium dark color, strong raisin/chocolate on the nose. Light/medium flavors, not a lot of complexity, drinks smoothly. Not exceptional, ok for the price.

CSCA: Classic sangiovese; dry cherry notes, dusty t’s, slty minerals; med. bod, more stuffing, not bad.

Fruity, smooth, rich. Intense aroma. Medium tannins. Great with Asiago cheese. Soft oaky flavor.

Not overly complex but quite enjoyable. Cherries, chocolate, low acid. A fair deal.
