D+0h: big chunks of deposit in the bottle, hardly anything in the filter, smells of sour cherry and forest ground D+2h: quite dark for an 18-year-old wine, so dark as ink, slightly purple red at the rim, smells of forest ground, eucalyptus and a little bit of sour cherry, smooth in the mouth, medium body, has a little bit of residual sugar without tasting sweet, in the mouth forest ground , cherry and a little bit of acidity, in the aftertaste acidity, sour cherry and forest ground, good length (30 sec), really good red wine, has plenty of life still left

This evolved in our cellar beyond our expectations. The fruit was still dark and vibrant and the texture and balance was flawless. Took just a little time to open, and was actually even a bit better the second night with left-overs from dinner. Wish I had more.
