  • This is one of those wines which I just don't get. It must be me - according to the label it has Tre Bicchieri in the Gambero Rosso 2021. Not for the life of me could I understand why. The fruit is plummy, the oak vanilla is quite overt on the nose, there is a camphor-like dustiness which pervades the wine, and the tannic structure is distinctly rough and bone-dry. The finish is all about sweet vanilla. Unhinged - and age will not cure this. No varietal typicity or terroir expression either. May other people enjoy it. I put it in the ragu bolognese.
