90% Sangiovese and 10% Canaiolo Nero. Despite being eight years old, still some great fruit, particularly for an old world wine. Black cherry, vanilla, and a floral note (violet?) up front and very juicy on the palate. Just a hint of tannin, but plenty of acidity to hold it together. I started out liking this wine, but as the bottle slowly drained I found myself liking it even more. Very Good to Outstanding. thedrunkencyclist.com

No decant needed RTD. Lightly floral with some good tannins mixing with anise, leather and maybe a little tar. Solid QPR but the 2004 was way better vino. That may just be the difference between 04 and 07.

Clear garnet/brick color. Nose with cherries, leather and licorice. Cherries on the palate, some licorice and acidity, with hints of oak, spice, toast and oranges, bitter/leathery finish and (for a Fatt. del Cerro) mild but chewwy tannins. Not too complex, to accompany food (pork/beef). 87-88pts. Only medium PQR at 13 euros, better Nobile's (or even Rosso's) around at this price level.

Decanted 30 minutes before drinking. Nice clarified look with color tending towards garnet. Reticent nose, but with cherries and red berries coming through along with a little smokiness. Mild tannins on the palate, good acidity, but fairly one-dimensional in flavor. Tastes include anise and cherry, along with a little spice at the end.
